Looking up at Mount Antero after our climb. It is interesting to note that several
semi-precious gems are known to be occurant on this mountain- most are mined out, as
there were significant mining operations in the area at the turn of the century, but
often small pieces of jade or aquamarine to be found. Dave looked assidiously for
such, hoping to find one for his girlfriend Christine. "A gem for my gem," was his
comment.
